i have the same condition (a bit less extreme, mine comes off in blotches). it’s a genetic condition where the skin around your feet and palms dies and peels off. in the winter it gets REALLY bad. to the point you start bleeding just from walking. my dad has it so bad that he has to keep his hand wrapped and moisturized throughout most of the winter.

Hey, take a look at Voices of The First Day, sorry, but I can’t recall the name of the author right now. It’s about Australian Aborigenes. There is a chapter on bodily – and genital – ritual modification. It’s actually quite a light and easy read fro an anthropological work. To us Westeners those Aborigenes can sound like true genital butchers.

The little guy’s happy because mom loves him again after days of whippings. Dad’s happy because he sprayed the graffiti on the building, and soon there will be no more evidence. The big kid is just chillin because hey, I’ve got a fuckin bird on my shirt and a dope haircut. Finally, mom’s happy because she’s going to steal the orange cone and stick it in her dirty little fun spot, often.
