You say that, but whatever artist created this might well have had “facebook” in mind. It might be their mental image of “facebook” whenever anyone says it. Who knows?

That said, it is entirely possible for this NOT to be Shopped®. A pile of magazines, some carving tools and some paint and a half decent artist could pull it off, no sweat.

This is NOT shopped. It’s probably in Ripley’s Beleive it or not.
I add my voice–er, type–to all the others who find this image strangely disturbing.
However, I also find it oddly mesmerizing. Therefore, I am thoroughly confused.
I am really not understanding why people are quite so horrified by this, I mean it’s pretty weird, but it’s not the hillbilly-holding-the-blood-covered-devil-baby sort of straight-up terrifying. And even that didn’t bother me particularly much.
