I just thought “Hey, this picture is cool somehow…nothing wtf!”
…then I saw the gun glued to his head. wtf >.<
Another weird thing I see are the vast numbers of German vehicles driving in the background. All a coincidence of course!^^
Day 213: Saw a crazy guy dressed up with a tire over his waist, a gun taped to his head, a set of ear muffs on his head and wearing ballerina slippers. He was so pale white, I thought he was a zombie so I shot him with my shotgun. Turns out he was just insane, and not actually a zombie. Took a Colt 9mm pistol off his corpse, but no ammo. Used the tire to re-tread one of the tires on my van.
It’s a dance bemoaning the declining health in this country. The “spare tire” represents obesity. The gun represents the immediacy and lethality of the problem. The ear muffs represent our refusal to hear the warnings. The crest thing on his head represents… um. …Nah. I’ve got no idea! I’m just making this up.
Unless I’m much mistaken, it looks like this was taken in South Africa during the 1980′s. It could be some kind of commentary on apartheid, “necklacing”, SA police, etc.
He was going to perform in the Postmodern Urbanist ballet piece at the Mariinskiy Theatre, but decided the dance would be better expressed as a street performance.
… this picture was taken in south africa, thats the old Transvaal license plate.. i didnt know we ever had people like that round hurr, pic taken in the late 80′s or 90′s… just btwz
I can’t wait until this crossing guard strike is over.
HAR!
Nice.
Suicide by pistol with ear protection, or run down by angry commuter? Tough choice.
Lady Gaga?
t-t-tire waist t-t-tire waist!
Judy Funnie!
Held at gun point by the invisible man is the only reason I can see for what he is doing.
Damn you!! That was my idea!
road flair
I liked the Michelin Man a lot better before Jenny Craig.
Repeat. How’s that MFA workin’ out for you? May 13th, 2009
Thanks, I remembered that it had posted too, but I couldn’t remember what it had posted as.

I see your point, but the licence plates don’t match in this case. :> And the traffic sign neither.
The number plates are from Transvaal, Apartheid South Africa, so this is an old pic. And yes, there are millions of German cars in South Africa.

Ok, I can understand all that.
But what the hell does that road sign on the right means?
That’s what puzzles me…
I’m thinkn this will be Michael Clark. He so rocks & is a master of WTF.

Tire Jete’!
His technique is just all wrong..
He looks tired…

Training to be the next Michelin Man takes a 24-7 commitment.
Dammit, if they’re going to put up repeats they should label them as such to prevent the comment whining.
Just a normal day on the streets of New York. (And yes, I’m from New York…)
He’s always prepared by wearing a rubber.
Crazy ballet dude. Judging by the 1978-series Transvaal number plate and the W210 E-Class Mercedes this was taken in South Africa in the late 90′s.
No no no. His technique is all wrong.
I keep looking at this, and all I can think is “How AWESOME!”
LH: Sheldon WTF!?
SC: Bazinga!
So this is where Lady Gaga got her inspiration for Bad Romance
When dance stops taking it’s meds.
Harrison Bergeron, anyone?
