There was a segment about her on one of the Discovery network channels. They were analysing how extremely rare her abilities are and how long it took her to achieve that level of flexibility. They were saying how easily she could snap her spine at the base of her skull and *poof* lights out.
I can see why someone would want to be able to bend FORWARD that much, but this just seems pointless.

The move is called the Marinelli Bend and is a well known move in the contortion world. And no, her spine will not snap off at the neck from this. The position of the spine is actually a fairly comfortable position for a well trained contortionist (and I’ve spoken to more than a few).

That’s called a hip bone, and when your lower back is *that* bent backwards, the entirety of your lower abdomen is being pulled taught, which makes the hips stick out more. I’d suggest you give it a try and see for yourself, but you’d probably break yourself.
