Well actually.. we have a product here in Australia called “milky-Foot” and it basically makes you feet milky and soft, but it has this effect on your feet to get rid of dead skin…..
Does it make me a bad person that I think something called “milky-foot” sounds like a white chocolate bar?

my skin never came off my foot like that after a cast on my leg, i just had a thin layer of dead skin hehe. If my foot had gone like that i sure as hell wouldnt be wiggling my finger through the skin. EW EW EW!!!!
That could have been caused by having their feet really wet or damp for a prolonged period i suppose :S

Has no one ever played with the school glue before? We used to put it on our hands and then peel it off…looked just like this before the ‘peeling.’

Actually this fellow coated his foot several times in Elmers glue, and is now peeling it off. Remember doing that in grade school? I only did it to the palm of my hand, this guy is hardcore.

I had irritated, peeling skin after a foot infection once, but it was never this bad.

For those who didn’t notice the real explanation much further up the list, the person very likely just had a cast removed. Your skin normally sloughs off without your noticing it. When you’ve had a foot in a cast for weeks or months, this is what can happen.
I hope for the sake of those being totally grossed out by this that you never get a sunburn. From that peeling, you’re likely to have heart attacks.

I go for the wax/glue theory. The skin under the peeling looks very well to be a sunburn, and it sound weird to get a cast just on the sole.

Remember mucilage glue? If you put in on your fingers and tapped them together you got a ton of little glue fibers that looked like hair. Glue used to be fun.

In my adolescent years I used to have quite bizzare problems with skin peeling off my feet. The skin that came off was thicker than this, though, and in much smaller patches. It really did feel good every time I got a layer off, though. So, yeah, I agree with those on here who said it must’ve felt good peel it off.
It puts the lotion on it’s skin, or else… gnugh,., that is just disturbing.

i have the same condition (a bit less extreme, mine comes off in blotches). it’s a genetic condition where the skin around your feet and palms dies and peels off. in the winter it gets REALLY bad. to the point you start bleeding just from walking. my dad has it so bad that he has to keep his hand wrapped and moisturized throughout most of the winter.

Been there, done that! Here’s another scenario: When you survive a severe poisoning, all your skin sloughs off, and it’s more pronounced on your palms and soles. Reason being, that’s one of the lesser functions of skin, being a subtle way to excrete.
I barely managed to survive toxic shock about 8 years ago, and the worst part was the sloughing. I would have looked like that too, but I went mad with a pair of scissors, and over the course of a few weeks, made every last one of my friends nauseated over a box of skin shavings. I couldn’t NOT cut it off; it was like wearing a filthy wet sock until the damp, new skin dried.
And in all that time, I’ve never regrown a callous.
It’s a foot peel remedy…. helps keep your feet moisturized so that they don’t get cracked and dry.. wow you people are dumb…

i got to admit im bad for peeling dead skin off my feet but if i was able to take the whole sole off at once i think i would worry :S. As i said earlier my feet didn’t even do this when i got my cast removed after 8 weeks. dry skin shouldnt come away in chunks i wouldnt have thought.
i really really hope its wax or glue as some of you have said but i got to say it looks a little to skin like to me.

looks like my foot after my last cast on my broken ankle….according to the doctor, the cast sucks out moisture and makes the skin peel…disgusting yes, but kind of fun in a twisted way…first time i have ever had anyone say “go ahead, pick at it”….yeesh
My foot did this after I broke my leg and it was in a cast for 7+ months, and then again when I had surgery a few days after the cast was removed and my leg was wrapped up for 3 morw months. It goes away after a couple of hours in the tub with hot water and a scrub bruch =p
