They figured since they didn’t have Arnie, and people complained about the last “Terminator” they would just say F@#% it and spend the entire budget on the tanks.
That robot is from the UW Madison Robot Strike. (I’m pretty sure it was Madison) They striked in solidarity with some of the other UW staff. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen/read on the nets. Alas, it’s no longer live. If anyone has a link please share.
You’re 100% right. They’re from the Madison “Robot Workers Strike” on April 21, 200. Any website with it is long gone, but I happen to have the original cache of pictures, or what remains of them.

That Robot can instantly go to “happy mode” simply by adjusting the eyebrows.

actually.. there are places in the u.s. and u.k. that rent people tanks and let you drive them over stuff like junked cars. look it up. these guys just look to be part of a team taking part in such an activity..
Maybe they are just as sick of Priuses as I am and are taking their extermination into their own hands? It is a very honorable objective and if that is their intention, then honestly, I would not mind coexisting with robots as awesome as them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how the robot’s head casts a very crisp shadow on his torso, but everything else on the tank casts extremely faint shadows on the tank’s surface.

its actually a very clever trick. the robot pops up, the other guys waste all their bullets on it, because it will not die, and then the good guys pop up and kill them all. tried and tested. works a bit better with your dead mate with a broom up his back though. more realistic.
